Berlin Tegel (Otto Lilienthal) Airport (TXL)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Berlin, Germany)

Berlin Tegel (Otto Lilienthal) Airport (TXL) offers travellers to Germany a good choice of ground transportation options to suit all passengers' needs.

Serving north Berlin and the surrounding areas of Germany, the main ground transport choices include buses, taxis and airport limousines.

Buses

The JetExpressBus TXL departs from Berlin Tegel Airport airport daily at 15 minute intervals, between 06:00 to 23:10. These buses travel to Berlin's central Potsdamer Platz, Friedrichstrasse and Unter den Linden, which is a short journey of around 20 minutes. Further buses run to the Jakob-Kaiser-Platz, then Bahnhof Zoo, departing every 10 minutes between 05:00 to midnight, and also to the U6 line at Kurt-Schumacher-Platz

Taxi Cabs

Taxis are in plentiful supply and can be located just outside of the main arrivals area, where they line up in the designated taxi ranks. These cabs offer a particularly convenient and easy way to travel into the German capital and other nearby destinations. Official Tegel taxi cabs should always be used to ensure safety and also to prevent overcharging. The journey between central Berlin and Tegel Airport should last around 15 minutes.

Limousines

Private car limousine companies available at Tegel are sited directly outside of the terminal building. Operated by Bero Berlin Limousines, these limos provide a luxurious way to travel to your hotel or other chosen destination.
